Google Terrorism?

By now, Google has already starts removing torrents keywords and search recommendations as an 'act to fight piracy'. But little that we know that Google is gladly to suggest and assist you whenever you need to...kidnap a child, make bombs, threatens the president...and so on.

Jason Mraz Is A Virus!!!

This week viral video belongs to a five year old kid with an Ukulele. It has received over 4 million views (and rising) and also have been re-posted over and over again by different users.

So far this video has kept me smiling and laughing because it's funny. At first I thought he was singing in some kind of foreign language but it turns out that he was singing the original lyrics.

Thus, enjoy the latest web sensation and sing along with the kid's rendition of Jason Mraz I'm Yours.

What a cute kid XD

Zombie, out.

RIP mininova.org - Good Things Come To An End

On 26 November 2009, the biggest public torrent site, Mininova was forced to delete all infringing torrents and goes 'legal'. According to the court order from the Dutch received by the admins, they need to take out all of the materials uploaded on the site or risked being shut down permanently and in addition they will have to pay 5 million euros should they fail to do so.

That's sad. I am really surprised to see Mininova torrents reduced to only a few insignificant stuff. At first I thought they had some kind of problems, or maybe going through maintenance as I am not aware of the issues Mininova had been facing. After a visit to the Mininova blog, only then that i found out about the news. It appears that they had been fighting the case in court since June this year and the final verdict was not on Mininova's side.

Well, after 5 years of service, home to thousands of uploaders and users, it's finally come to an end. The site is still there you can check it out(link), but you won't find anything except for the Content Distribution torrents. There is no news yet as to where Mininova will go from this point. Well, we're all going to miss you Mininova. It's been fun but I guess now all of us have to find a new home.

R.I.P.

Whisper your name to the wind

“Hey Lost Faerie! Come here a second”

Ohh…I hate that when people called me Lost Faerie. That’s not my real name actually. They gave that name because I always get lost when I’m going somewhere. But sometimes I answered the name because it somehow suited me. Heee…

Wait, I think you guys can call me Lost Faerie. Because this name kind of remind me to these two persons which are very dear to me. I don’t remember when, maybe thousand years ago. They gave me name, hope, courage and protection when I first came here to Earth. We shared and created unforgettable memories. I really wanted to have those happy moments again. Million thanks to Wise Sorcerer and Witty Phantom.

Hmm…back to the real thing that I wanted to share with you guys. I found this website, which is quite interesting because here you can check your very own fairy name. Thanks to this website because now I remembered my real fairy name. Don’t really like it because I recalled that all others fairies called me a “troublesome little thing”. I guess I stick with Lost Faerie. So, why don’t you guys check out this website and let’s share your fairy name with me. As my real fairy name:

Your fairy is called Berry Saturnwand
She is a trouble maker.
She lives in fruit orchards and vineyards.
She is only seen when the seer holds a four-leafed clover.
She wears red, cerise and purple berry colours. She has delicate pale pink wings like a cicada.

Oh, please don’t call me by that name okay? Just call me Lost Faerie. ‘Till we meet again. Don’t forget to share your fairy name.

Zombies mercenary… status, LOST

Bad news people! (Panting) Super freakin’ bad news for you all.

I’m not sure how to tell you about this. This is quite sentimental and hard for me to say and I really really hate to tell you any of it, but I had to. I had to inform the reader of Frosted Cigar, by hook or by crook. Or else you’ll never know what I’m up to and why.

The news, yes the news… (exhaled deeply)

You all had been acquaintance with Zombie Extraordinaire yes? Well, I’ve been trying to contact him for the past few days, but his phone was dead all the time. But I didn’t easily give up. I kept calling and calling him like a thousand times and his mailbox kept pushing and pushing me away with threats and daunting kind of lines… It goes, “Zombie is busy digging a grave, burning corpse and igniting apocalypse. Just leave your message after the braying laughter…” And it laughed for 3 minutes straight.

So I was kind of worried about him. Lately he was so into this apocalypse thing and sometimes he even sketched a picture of the crumbling world while he sleeps. People in blazing brassiere and torn boxers running side by side away from explosions and meteorites. I’m concerned. So yesterday, I knocked on his door to check. But nobody was there… I caught a glimpse of a very strange pentacle on one side of his wall through the gaps. My concerns looming, so I broke the door and get in. (Sorry about this Zombie, wherever you are). And what I saw is remarkable and evil at the same time. He was on to something… and he was gone!

But stay calm! I’m going to save him from whatever retching business he got, or whoever that had kidnapped him. I’m really confused here and I can’t think of a place to start searching. But Zombie did a random drawing on a piece of paper laying down on the floor. There’re wavy lines here and there, circles and more lousy circles, and something looked like Christmas tree. I think it’s Pacific Ocean. And that’s where I’m going to start.

Can you check him out here while I'm away? Thanks people. You've been a great help...

I won’t be long people… I'll get back as soon as I can and I promise you more entertainment news when I got back. Please keep reading Frosted Cigar… and I love you guys!

Sail Ho!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day!! Please take my humble gift...

Hello again guys! How are y’all doing? Everything’s alright? I surely hope so… As for all the fathers who were reading this blog, Happy Father’s Day to you all! Remember to be a nice daddy so that your little Santa will send gifts to you.

You know, I was having my dinner at a stall yesterday, and there was this guy wearing a cool shirt. You see, it was not the design that attracted my attention; it was the words printed on it. It’s totally cool! It reads… “Eat well, Stay fit, Die anyway.” Nice huh? It’s funny, but true anyway.

Okay now… back to the topic of this post. As for today, in honor of Father’s day, I would like to share a story with all of you. It’s something I wrote some time ago. Well, I like to write stories about relationships, and as for this story, it’s a story about the relationships of a father and a son. Read it, who knows you might love it. Heh heh! And don’t forget to leave a comment. Anything’s fine with me… So, here goes…

Title: Dreamer

“It’s my life!! Mine!!” My heart sizzled in anger as I glared towards the arrogant old man in front of me.

“And I’m your father!!” His voice boomed, louder than mine. My mother stood in between, confused on which side she should be standing. I don’t blame her and I couldn’t care less of on whom side she would be. For the moment, only the stupid mad entity before me that matter.

The argument began at the point when I said that I wanted to quit my job to follow my dream to be a writer. Well, you could say that I was an idiot who walked away from the path of life to chase an indefinite dream and I wouldn’t say that you’re wrong. However, the choice is mine and none of others’ judgment could change my mind.

I flicked my eyes to my mother before turning away towards the doorway. I managed to halt my steps right at the doorsteps and glanced towards my parents for one last time before I ventured into a stretching colorless and impeding land outside. My heart cried, but it didn’t reach my throat for them to hear. Bearing sadness inside my chest, I went away. And there were no hugs and kisses made for my goodbye, just a pair of disapproving eyes.

A week passed since I waded on my path of dream. None of my stories was published yet, but I never give up. Until one day, I received an unexpected phone call from my mother. My heart was thudding fast as she told me that my father collapsed at work and now being admitted into a hospital. Without further hesitation, I went to the hospital immediately.

Upon arriving at the hospital, I just sat at the alleyway bench, observing every people passing by, feeling too afraid to be face to face with my father again. I knew I was the last person he expected to see. Or maybe, I didn’t know what to say to him anymore, but I know that my heart was dying to see him.

Then I saw a familiar face among the crowd in front of me. A loving face that forgives every wrongdoing and sins done and not one single day goes by without I dream of that face. She halted as she saw me and quickly strode to my side.

“Why didn’t you come in?” She asked as she sat. I just averted my eyes, trying to figure out the answer that question, knowing well that I don’t have one. She let out a subtle sigh and fixed her eyes away from my side.

“Let me tell you a story of a man I knew, very similar to you…” I frowned and turned to her.

“The one who pulled magic in everything he wrote…the one who never give up his dream.” She smiled and looked at me.

“But on one fateful day, he quitted. Do you know why?”
I shrugged.
“All because his lovely little son was born. Foods must be kept on the table, so he gave up…”

A weird sensation of pain struck my chest, melting my heart with regretful sorrow I wished I shed long time ago.

“I guess, an apple doesn’t fall far from its tree…” And she patted my lap tenderly before getting up and went away.

The next day I braved myself and went inside. And on the bed he laid, barely conscious under all the sufferings. My mother quickly got up on her feet and gave me a reassuring smile before she left us alone in that creepy room. For a moment, only the beeping sound of the unknown medical equipment filled the air between us.

“Hi dad…how do you feel today?” I managed to squeeze the words out of my lips. He didn’t even react and I wasn’t sure if he heard me or not.

I strolled closer towards his bed.
“Yesterday, mom told me a story of a guy…but it didn’t end well. The guy didn’t get what he wanted because of certain reason he didn’t wish others to know.” The air still froze in silence and nothingness.

“It wasn’t supposed to be that way. So, if it’s even possible, I would like to pick up where he left off in pursue for the happy ending…”

I bit my lips, not knowing what else I should say to him. I guess that was it. So I turned away and closed my eyes hard before I felt a feeble poke on my back. I twisted my head towards the old man’s eyes and saw the tears streaming down his wrinkling cheek. And his voice trembled between tears, struggling hard like a string of sprawling letters, but his words shine on, brighter than the sun at day and the stars at night.

“Go my son…make me proud…”

A year later my story was published, thanks to my agents. My father didn’t live long enough to see that day coming true, hence the first copy was placed on his concrete cemetery. Everything turned out alright since and I hope somewhere, someplace nice, my father is proud and smiled down upon the path of dreams I dedicated for him.

THE END

Funny Sunday…

It’s Sunday… And you know what’s nice about Sunday? Well for starters, it’s a holiday. More time to rest and less time to work. More to waking up late and less of morning bell alarms, don’t you think? So today ladies and gentlemen, I would like to share jokes that I find funny on mags and newspapers. They’re jokes about school, so, here goes…

MORON…
“If there are any morons in the classroom, will they please stand up,” snarled the sarcastic teacher.

After a long silence, one student rose to his feet.

“Now then boy, why do you consider yourself a moron?” enquired the teacher with a sneer.

“Well, actually I don’t,” said the student. “But I hate to see you standing up there all by yourself.”

PUNISHED
A little girl came home from school and said to her mother. “Mommy, today in school I was punished for something I didn’t do.”

The mother exclaimed. “But that’s terrible dear! I’m going to have a talk with your teacher about this…by the way, what was it that you didn’t do?”

The little girl replied. “My homework.”

Father's Day 101

What’s up guys? It’s me again after 3 days without any post in this blog. I know… 3 days.. No big deal huh? Well, to be honest, I’ve been itching to write something in the past few days but haven’t been able to do anything about it. What can I say, works were piling up on my desk and my fingers were occupied with many other things, so, sorry guys. I promise I’ll put a schedule up for this blog.

Anyway, as you all can see, I did a few things on the blog layout. Well, if you all were new here, you’re lucky to see the new shiny layout I made especially for the readers of Frosted Cigar. Things will shape up around here, and I’ll try my best for this blog to be a better place for you all.

You all like youtube? I like youtube…and here I placed a youtube ShaneDawsonTV channel for you to enjoy. Take a look, he’s funny and he’s cool. You all going to love him, really really much!

Okay enough about that. So today I’m going to tell you something about Father’s Day. I’m pretty sure I don’t have to tell you specifically what’s the reason of the occasion, do I? Unless you’re an alien, I think you had celebrated Father’s Day before to appreciate your father hard work raising you. But not most of us knew about the origin and history of father’s day, don’t we? Little that we knew that someone before had fought for 56 years for the day to be official. Now that, my readers, is something worth knowing.

Mother’s day was already celebrated long before Father’s day was even introduced. It was proposed by a person named Sonora Smart Dodd, out of personal idea while she was listening to a Mother's Day sermon at the Central Methodist Episcopal Church. She fought for it with many organizations and churches behind her back. But the more she fought, the more the honorable day ran the risk of disappearing. Back then, father’s day was a laughing matter, while mother’s day was celebrated with excitement.

However, in 1924, the idea was accepted by US President Calvin Coolidge, and many efforts are gathered to legitimize the day. Finally in 1966, the proclamation was issued and father’s day became official.

So, do something to appreciate your dad this year. Someone fought so much for the day and it would be nice for us to make the best of it.

By the way, Zombie (I cannot believe I even called him that) had post something on the blog. You're going to hear from him from time to time. He's a likable person, in spite of his name i would say. So thanks Zombie (I still cannot believe I even called him that).

Rated Z for Zombie-licious

What’s up people!...or in a more appropriate manner of speaking, how are you doing, fellow reader.

How’s your day?

Zombie here, and you’re going to see a lot of me from time to time. I decided to drop by and say hi to all of you. Yes you guys, the one who are reading this. I’ll be mainly posting book reviews and few stuff about authors that is, if you don’t know about them already

Since Roldan would probably chop me to pieces if I put up some senseless post, so in response to his post about Xbox’s Natal, yeah it is somewhat intriguing. I know Microsoft yet to have a release date and all but, I’m pumped up already. Imagine the possibilities. No, I don’t mean playing an improved Wii Fit-ish game. Though it is Microsoft answer to Wii…let’s not go there, I leave those arguments to the fan boys.

What I am getting at here is the potential of Natal. I’m seriously intrigued of its capabilities, you know, imagined that playing Left 4 Dead-esque game on those things. It’ll be awesome, you can finally punch the zombies, kick them or do all those things to your fellow survivors for being such an a-hole (I’ve taken more hits from teammate rather than from zombies, idiots). Maybe this time we can talk trash to the zombies every time we’re being overrun.

Hypes have been surrounding this particular revolution of gaming by fans and haters. Some love it, some don’t but I like to quote a rather disturbing comment concerning Natal scanning function. It involves creating avatars. One user said,

"I can’t wait coz I wanna scan myself naked."

Xbox Live users will see a lot of interesting avatars soon.

Anyway, although Natal is a techno wonder but I doubt its application will be featured in such games. At least not anywhere near its release. But hey, we’ll never know until it hit the shelves, for all we know I am probably wrong. Maybe this is the starting point for the much-awaited advancement in entertainment that probably would lead to humanity doomsday in the hand (or in this case – the screen) of machine.

Since I’m still in Zombie mood, check out the vid for Dead Rising 2 if you haven’t already (link at the end of the post). It’s wicked awesome. The only disappointment for me is that Frank will have only a guest appearance and probably not as a playable character. I missed Frank but I guess Chuck kick some undead ass too.

With the capabilities of spawning 7,000 zombies on the screen, (the first only have max capacities of 800) and ready to be taken down with the most creative way, Dead Rising 2 is going to be big. No, not big but Zombie-licious. I mean, where else can you see Zombie showgirls?

Well then, keep that console warm for Chuck Greene’s arrival on PC, Xbox360 and PS3.

On a side note, I’d like to see that on Natal, don’t you?

Click here for Dead Rising 2 Vidz.
